| Job Summary |
Participate in strategic planning and the development of Credit Union policies, procedures, and goals. Lead all consumer loans, real estate loans, and all collections efforts and activities. Ensure maximum profitability of lending activities and minimize financial risk. |
| Responsibilities |
Develop and implement short and long-term lending strategies that align with the Credit Union's business objectives and goals. Develop and implement standard operating policies and procedures for lending and collections. Direct and mentor management under supervision. Ensure uniform compliance with internal controls. Analyze departmental performance and initiate actions to ensure efficient operations. Develop departmental budgets and monitor income and cost performance, comparing actual income and costs versus budgeted, and take appropriate action as required. Recommend and develop loan products and assist with the development of marketing programs; evaluate performance and take appropriate action as required. Develop underwriting standards in conjunction with the Credit Union's loan committee. Ensure adherence to all applicable regulations and laws. Manage all lending operations including loan origination, sales, and service. Minimize risk in the Credit Union's loan portfolio. Manage all collections efforts, including the disposition and repossession of property. Ensure adherence to all applicable regulations and laws. Inform executive management of any material considerations. Develop and/or ensure the development of appropriate reporting tools and reports to document activity. Keep abreast of industry trends and maintain competitiveness. |
| Qualifications |
Must have excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a collaborative environment. Must be proficient in the use of Word and Excel. A minimum of five years experience in a lending and collection environment at the senior management level is required. Experience in indirect and commercial lending is preferred. An undergraduate degree in business administration, finance, or a related field is preferred. |
